Our Journey Towards Sustainable Energy Solutions
Our journey in the Renewable Energy sector began in
Burdwan, West Bengal, known as the
“Granary of Bengal” because of its
abundant paddy production.
With more than 400 rice mills in the district, the
industry faced a major energy challenge as rising
diesel prices increased the cost of captive power
generation.
We saw an opportunity to address the energy challenge
while making productive use of an abundant agricultural
resource — rice husk.
2000
The Beginning of Biomass Energy

Introducing Gasifier Technology
In 2000, we introduced Gasifier Technology to rice
mills, enabling them to utilize their own rice husk
as fuel.
This helped industries address two challenges at the
same time — increasing diesel costs and the disposal
of rice husk.

2005
From Biomass to Co-generation
Co-generation Technology
Following the successful implementation of gasifier
technology, we expanded our work with large rice mills
operating continuously.
In 2005, we introduced Co-generation Technology,
enabling industries to utilize rice husk in
high-pressure boilers and generate both steam and
power through the turbine route.

Rice husk can be utilized as a renewable fuel source
for industrial energy generation.
In the distillery sector, suitable waste streams such
