Our Journey Towards

Sustainable Energy Solutions

We started our journey in the Renewable Energy sector from Burdwan (West Bengal), which is called the granary of Bengal for the abundance in the production of paddy. There are more than 400 rice mills in Burdwan District. In the year – 2000, there was suddenly a crisis – the rice millers were facing problems due to the escalation in the price of diesel as most of the rice mills in the district had their own captive power plant (Diesel Generator Set). They approached us for a solution because sustainability was a problem of them in the competitive market due to high cost of energy. During that period we gave them the gasifier technology where they could save at least 70% of their fuel cost and could use their own rice husk in the gasifier. At that time disposal of rice husk was a serious problem. After the success of the gasifier technology in the rice mill sector we approached big rice mills with continuous operation with the co-generation technology where they could use their rice husk in a high pressure boiler and generate both steam and power through the turbine route in the year 2005.
